Getting started.
What does Goldmark Partners do?
We're the front office for local service businesses. We set up the systems that decide whether a customer finds you, reaches you and turns into a paid job, in three stages: Visibility, Reception and Follow-up. We do the work and explain it in plain words.
Who do you work with?
Local service businesses: electricians, HVAC companies, plumbers, auto body shops and similar trades. We're based in Massachusetts and work with businesses in Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire.
Can I start with just one stage?
Yes. Most owners start with whatever is slipping most: being found, missed calls or following up. You can add the others later.
What do you need from me?
A 15-minute call to start. If you go ahead, we'll ask for access to the accounts we'll work on, like your Google Business Profile, and a short conversation about your services, the towns you cover and how you handle calls today.
Why don't you show prices?
Because the work depends on what you already have. We'd rather hear about your business on a short call and tell you exactly what we'd do.
Visibility and AI search.
What is AI visibility?
It's whether AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini name your business when someone asks them who to hire, for example "Who's a good electrician in Lowell?" They usually name two or three businesses. We check what they say about you and work on what they rely on: your Google profile, reviews, listings and website. Google treats this as part of SEO, so the fundamentals are the same.
What is GEO?
GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization. It's another name for AI visibility work: getting your business named in the answers that ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Google's AI features write. More on AI visibility.
Why does ChatGPT recommend some businesses and not others?
AI assistants recommend businesses they can find, read and trust. They look at your Google Business Profile, your reviews, whether your name, address, phone and hours match across directories, what your website says about your services and towns, and whether local lists and sites mention you.
Do I need a new website?
Not always. If your site is clear, quick to load and says what you do and where, we keep it and improve it. If you don't have one, or yours is holding you back, we build a simple, fast one.
Do you buy or filter reviews?
Never. We set up a simple way to ask every customer for an honest review. We don't buy, fake or filter reviews.
Reception and follow-up.
Will the receptionist sound like a robot?
It talks in plain, everyday sentences, not a "press 1" menu. It also doesn't pretend to be a person: it tells every caller it's an AI assistant and that the call may be recorded. Then it takes their details, flags anything urgent and sends you a summary right away.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You keep your number, and your phone still rings first. Calls you don't pick up forward to the receptionist.
Will it quote prices or promise arrival times?
Not unless you allow it. By default it takes the caller's details and passes them to you.
What happens to my leads after a call?
With Follow-up, missed calls and website requests go into one simple system automatically. You get reminders on open quotes, and every customer gets a review request when the job is done.
Results and timing.
How long does it take?
Fixes go live in 1 to 3 weeks. Google and AI answers take longer to catch up: usually several weeks to a few months. We measure every month, so you can see what moved and when.
Do you guarantee results?
No. Nobody can honestly guarantee rankings, AI mentions or a number of calls, because Google and the AI companies decide what to show. We measure what changed every month and report it in plain words.
