The front office for plumbers.
When someone needs help, they search Google, ask ChatGPT or call the first number they find. We help plumbers in Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire get found, answer every call, and follow up on every job.

AI mostly names someone else.
When we asked AI who to hire for 147 local service businesses, a local business was named in fewer than 1% of the answers. These numbers are across all trades in our study: painters, electricians, HVAC, roofers, plumbers, auto shops, exterminators, garage doors, movers, landscapers, chiropractors and dentists.
Read the studyWhere plumbers get skipped.
AI can only recommend what it can read. These are the gaps we see most often for plumbers.
Emergency service not stated
Burst pipes and backed-up drains don't wait for business hours. If your profile doesn't say whether you take urgent calls, AI can't send them to you.
License not shown
Plumbing is a licensed trade in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. If your license number isn't on your site or profile, customers and AI have to guess.
Service towns not listed
AI matches plumbers to towns. If you never say you cover Medford or Arlington, it won't send those calls your way.
Reviews that don't say what you fixed
Fifty reviews that say "great guy" tell AI less than ten that say "replaced our water heater" or "cleared the main drain."
What AI checks for a plumber.
Six things the assistants look for before they name a business like yours. We measure about 50 factors in all; these matter most in your trade.
The right Google category
Plumber as your main category, with related categories for drains or water heaters added if they fit.
Every service, spelled out
Leaks, drain cleaning, water heaters, sump pumps, frozen pipes, fixtures, gas lines. One line each.
Hours and urgent calls
Your real hours, and a plain answer on emergency and after-hours work.
License and insurance
Your license number and that you're insured, written where AI can read it.
Reviews that name the job
Reviews that mention the actual work show AI what you're trusted for.
A site AI can read
Clear service pages, the towns you cover, an FAQ and LocalBusiness schema.

Visibility
Your Google profile, reviews and listings set up for plumbers, a simple website if you need one, and the AI checks on this page.

When you're on a job, a call about a burst pipe or a leaking water heater still gets answered. Our AI receptionist takes the details, flags it urgent and sends you a summary right away.

People rarely ask AI for "plumbing services." They describe what's wrong, usually in a hurry. Questions like these:
- "I have a burst pipe and water everywhere. Who can come now in Somerville, MA?"
- "Who's a good plumber near Billerica to put in a new water heater, tank or tankless?"
- "My kitchen drain keeps backing up. Who's honest and won't overcharge near me?"
"I have a burst pipe. Who should I call in Somerville, MA?"
"…for urgent leaks, Competitor A and Competitor B both list emergency service in the area…"
What helps a plumber get named
When someone types "burst pipe" into an assistant, it looks for plumbers that clearly do emergency work, clearly serve that town and clearly have happy customers for that kind of job. Plenty of plumbers check all three boxes in real life and none of them online.
- Answer the emergency question. Say on your profile, your site and in your FAQ whether you take urgent calls on nights and weekends. If you don't, say that, and say how urgent calls are handled.
- Split drains, water heaters and leaks. A homeowner with a slow drain and one with a cold shower ask different questions. Give each main service its own line on your profile and its own section or page on your site.
- Show your license. Put your license number on your site and in your profile description, and say you're insured. If you're licensed for gas work, say that too.
- Get ready for winter. Frozen and burst pipes come with every cold snap. A short FAQ answer on what to do when a pipe freezes is exactly the kind of thing AI quotes, with your name next to it.
- Ask every customer for a review. Text your Google review link after each job. It's fine to say it helps if they mention what you fixed. Never pay or offer anything for reviews.
- List your towns. Name the towns you cover on your profile and your site, neighbors included. AI uses it to match you to the person asking.
- Answer the questions you hear on the phone. Whether you charge a trip fee, how you quote bigger jobs, whether you work on older homes with cast iron or galvanized pipe. Short, honest answers on your site are what AI likes to quote.
Much of this is your Google Business Profile, your listings and clear pages on your website. If you don't have a site, or it's holding you back, we build one.
Questions, answered.
Not here? Ask us on a call.
Can you answer our calls when we're on a job?
Yes. Your phone still rings first. Calls you miss, and calls after hours, go to our AI receptionist. It answers in your business's name, says it's an AI assistant and that the call may be recorded, flags urgent calls like a burst pipe or a leaking water heater, and sends you a summary right away.
Do people really ask AI for a plumber?
More every month. And people who still search Google now often see an AI answer at the top of the page, which picks businesses in a similar way.
We don't take emergency calls. Is that a problem?
Not if you say so clearly. AI does better with a plain answer than with silence. Say what you do offer, like your hours and how urgent calls are handled.
Do we need a new website?
Often, yes, and we build them. A new site is usually the best place to start. If your current site works well, we can work with it instead. Either way, a lot of the work is your Google Business Profile, your listings and your reviews, plus clear service pages, town pages and FAQs.
Can you guarantee AI will recommend us?
No, and nobody honestly can. Search and AI results change; we show you exactly what we did and what moved.
How long until we see a change?
Profile and listing fixes usually show within a few weeks. AI answers catch up more slowly, usually several weeks to a couple of months. We re-check every month so you can see what moved.
